- Designed and developed the Basic Input/Output Software
(BIOS) for all Compaq Commercial
desktop personal computers.
- Managed Commercial Desktop Sustaining BIOS releases,
which included the worldwide
maintenance of customer BIOS issues, test plans, and
releases.
- Discovered a major hardware flaw in the computer chip of
Compaq’s major supplier.
Innovated a solution for the flaw, giving Compaq a
competitive advantage and allowing them
to beat their nearest competitor to market by over two
weeks.
- Optimized the execution time for the Compaq Commercial
desktop power-up by over 30%,
allowing Compaq a $10MM cost savings in third-party vendor
negotiations.
