Which test should you take, GMAT or GRE?
If you are going to do an MBA, you must take GMAT. Almost all
business schools require GMAT scores. Non-business graduate
schools tend to require the GRE exam (and if applicable one of
the GRE subject tests). For doctoral studies in business field,
either GRE or GMAT is acceptable.
